A mint on Elevate is one transaction from your wallet to the collection contract. The site checks phase, allowance and balance first; the contract enforces all of it again on-chain.
Minting is where Elevate's design shows: the interactive mint UI sits on top of a contract that decides everything, and the page never shows a number the contract would disagree with.
